Welcome to Marillac House!
Since 1914, Marillac Social Center
(Marillac House) has been serving the needs of the working
poor of Chicago’s west side community. Sponsored by the Daughters
of Charity, Marillac House provides much-needed programs and
services in the areas of child care, social services, outreach
to the homeless and services for the elderly.
- Child Care: Marillac provides
care for over 350 kids, ranging in age
from 15 months to 13 years. From early childhood
education to after-school programs and
summer camp as well as mentoring and tutoring
programs, the Center provides quality
NAEYC accredited education and child care.
- Services
for the elderly: Marillac House provides
outreach, assistance and case
management for more than 100 homebound
Chicagoans as well as programs for active
Seniors at the Center.

- Social and Family Services: The
Center offers assistance to those
in need through a food pantry, programs that
offer assistance with utilities,
and counseling and case management services for thousands
of low income clients as well as
those on the verge of becoming homeless each year.
- Project
Hope and Hope Jr.: Marillac's nationally
recognized Project Hope program provides
comprehensive support and services for
teen moms. A successful academic, social
and pregnancy-prevention program, Hope Jr. provides mentoring
and
tutoring after school and throughout
the
summer program to boys and girls ages 7
-17.
In these programs, and in all that it does, Marillac House carries
out its services and programs in the Vincentian tradition of
compassionate charism, while serving the community with dignity
and respect.
Whether you are seeking childcare or are interested in volunteering,
or making a donation to our social-service agency, we invite
you to become a part of the Marillac House Family.
