Pre-Kindergarten

The years before a child starts kindergarten are among the most critical in his/her life to influence learning. At Marillac House, we believe that every child deserves a chance to develop in a safe, nurturing, stimulating, and creative environment so that they can become life-long learners.

Pre-Kindergarten (3 – 5 years)

As educators of pre-kindergarten children, we have the opportunity to prepare children to be successful in school and in life. We value children as individuals and embrace their unique contributions to the classroom community, which can inspire in them a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We utilize a content-rich, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports active learning and promotes children's progress in all developmental areas.

Program features:

• Accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
• The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool – focuses on five components:
  • How children develop and learn
  • The learning environment
  • What children learn

• The five components of the curriculum are applied to 11 interest areas – blocks, dramatic play, toys and games, art, library, discovery, sand and water, music and movement, cooking, computers, and outdoors
• 1:10 teacher/child ratio with maximum group size of 20 children
